Hi, My name is Richard Eugene Woodbridge Jr., Born 5-25-57 in Columbus, Ohio. I have family in Columbus and many in Circleville, Ohio. Every database I look on about Woodbridges overlooks my branch. What gives? My famous relative was my great-grandmother with the maiden name Emmerich, a direct descendant of John Emmerich who took in John Jacobs Aster as a sea-sick 18 year old on his way to America and as partners became America's first multi-millionaires in the fur business. The rest is history, although the Asters' bilked my family out of their fortune. Let me know what you know about our end of the family tree.

Dear Friend, Recently, I found your posting for Wm. Macomber on the internet and wanted to make you aware of The Macomber Project. The project’s purpose is to link Macomber Family (Genealogy) resources. As you can imagine the response has been absolutely unbelievable. As of today, there are over seventy people with varying interests and expertise on the family. Without doubt this will grow over time. Now to be honest, this email is a bit lengthy, but we need for you to carefully read it. The little bit of detail we put into this up front, will greatly help the success of this project: 1) THE MACOMBER PROJECT – as with anything, our efforts deserve a name. The lead researchers will be posting this name on ‘boards’ (as applicable) on the web to bring people to us. If you have any ideas, please forward them to me – we are trying to maintain a consistent message. If you have made contact with any other people within the family, also forward their name(s) to me or vice versa. 2) Our Mission – to increase and share the knowledge of the Macomber family – names to be included are: Macomber, Macumber, Mackumber, Maycomber, Maycumber, McComber, McCumber, McKumber and Mowcomber. Please forward other spellings to my attention. 3) Macomber Family Database – The purpose of this database is to ‘link’ people with similar research interests and to reduce duplication of effort – this was unanimously supported by everyone. The initial layout is based on three variables. The first is your geographic location – because of the cost research, it may be possible for one of us to quickly retrieve a document/resource and share it with others – looking at our locations, we are spread-out across the country and Canada. The second item is your family lineage – it appears that we fall into two groups – those that can trace their family back to John (1) and those that branch off at some point in time. The strength of this is that the newer researches can leverage off the seasoned researchers and similarly, the seasoned researchers can plug in, if possible, the ‘new’ pieces quickly. And thirdly, your geographic area of interest – obviously our roots are from Massachusetts, but many of us have family in NY, NJ, IA, OH, SC, GA, etc. I WILL NEED YOUR STATE(S) OF INTEREST FOR THE DATABASE. Please note, the important issue here is to respect people’s privacy. If you do not feel comfortable providing/sharing your address or phone number, please let me know – we must all respect this. The problem I see however, is that email addresses change frequently and subsequently people get lost. I can’t tell you how many error messages or disconnected URL’s I have come across. Send any corrections to me at macomberk@aol.com 4) Macomber Resource Guide - includes books, articles, and websites that annotate the focus of the resource, source of purchase, location (i.e., LDS) or complete URL. New items will be shared in the newsletter and an updated list will be sent upon request. For now, send resources to me at macomberk@aol.com. 5) Talking among the seasoned researchers, it was agreed that the ‘model’ I sent in the first email is the best approach to link people and reduce duplication of effort. As I mentioned in (1) above, we fall into two groups, so we are taking two approaches to this. Please note, it is assumed that if a first name is only used, that the last name is a delineation of Macomber If you can trace back to John (1), your model should be like the following: John (1), William (2), William (3), William (4), Matthew (5), Ichabod (6), John (7), Seth (8), Paul (9), Hannah (10), m. John BROOKE (11), Peter (12) and Jane(13). Please note, if your family breaks-off from the family line, as with this line here, annotate that point by capital letters (i.e. BROOKE). If you only know a specific person or persons, start with the oldest and work forward – your information should include state, birthdate and spouse only. As an example: William S. (NY, b. 1821, md. Eve Barker), William S. Jr. (NY, b. 1845, md. Mary Stell), Hannah (CT, b. Unk., md. J. WILCOX). If you need help, let me know and we will work with you. I know this seems complicated, but you only need to do this once – based on this information, the computer will be able to sort similar families, etc. together. IF YOU HAVE NOT DONE SO ALREADY, PLEASE SEND THIS TO ME. 6) Centralized General Data Collection Point – for the time being, bits of information should be sent to me via email or standard mail – we are still in the process of working out a process to handle information and will share it via the newsletter. Our initial thoughts are to make a ‘template’ that can be sent as a text file or a MS Word attachment to an email. 7) Periodic Newsletter – like everybody else, I am up to my ‘tail side’ in work – if we have information to share we obviously will, if not, we are not going to create work. The initial thoughts are to approach the newsletter as follows: The first couple of issues should get us all on the same sheet of paper. Meaning, we will send out the history of John (1) and his children and grandchildren – I think we are all pretty close anyhow. This will also be interesting for newer researchers to know more about their roots. Afterwards, any updates or corrections can be sent on these people. Future issues will be a bit more thematic and include subject areas by: state, military service, unique websites, graveyards, lost family member requests, etc. From the newsletter, this information will be aggregated into topical electronic files – simply, we will ‘cut and paste’ into files to share with new members. For now, please gather your bits and pieces and forward them – ANY PIECE OF INFORMATION IS IMPORTANT! 8) We are also evaluating where we can put our tree and family databases out on the web – our main concern is control over information and upkeep A basic outline will be maintained (including birth, death, and marriage dates and locations ) by Marge Wasserman at mfs37@aol.com.. Your thoughts? 9) Finally, and most importantly, we would like your ideas and support. If you would like to take an active role in this, meaning a bit more of the grunt work, let me know. And more specifically, do have a flare for working with military records, local history, geographical interest, LDS records, etc. For those of you that have offered, please tell me again - there has been a lot of email flying! Let me know your thoughts on this. Regards, Kevin Macomber 117 Washington St. Gardner, MA 01440 macomberk@aol.com (978) 632-2113

Hi Stephen, 1) Charles ODENBAUGH is in your info. I'm compiling an ODENBAUGH book. info on http://www.irishgenealogy.com/Odenbaugh.htm 2) I noticed McFarland's - a Bridget McFarland is listed on the death certificate of John Malowney (1816-1911) and she and her husband Isaac MALOWNEY are the furthest back I can trace on this line. If you know or come across McFarland researchers can you send them my way? 3) Are the PERL scripts you used public domain or did you write them? I'm still trying to figure out the best way to organize my site - http://www.irishgenealogy.com - I posted lots of info in late 1997 - and haven't had a lot of time to update it. I use SQL Server. georgeann http://www.irishgenealogy.com

Dear Steven, My husband, Billy D. Shively, b. 1929, is descended from John Shively who married Susannah Hayden in Washington Co, KY in 1794. We have no further information on him, except his descendants. Bill comes from John to John Boston Shively, to William Thomas Shively, Sr, to William Thomas Shively, Jr, to Glen B. Shively (his father, who was born in 1898). I found the picture of Mary Sebly/Shively on the net quite a while back and was immediately struck by how much Bill resembles her. I know it is quite a stretch to see resemblance from that far back with all the blood lines that have been added along the way, but I am just hoping that maybe Mary was a younger sister of Bill\'s ancestor, John Shively. If John was 20 when he married in 1794, he would be born abt. 1774. We have been unable to find out where he was born, but most researchers think PA or MD or who knows? Families moved around a lot back then, and state boundaries also changed in many instances. I know I haven\'t given you any concrete information, but I guess I am just hoping. Marilyn

Dear Woodbridge\'s, Wow!!! I have just started putting my family\'s tree together today. I can\'t believe I came across your info so soon. I\'ve been trying to read somebody\'s notes from 1928 on the Pleis\'s. When I viewed your page I got chills seeing all the names that I was trying to decypher. I am Caroline R. Grim\'s and Nathan Frick\'s great great-grandaughter. They had a son Raymond Grim Frick brother of Geraldine Rebecca Frick. Raymond married Mary Thompson Martin and they had Sarah Martin Frick and Raymond Grim Frick Jr. Sarah Martin Frick married John Miers Vessels and they had four children one who is my mother. Her name is Geraldine Frick Vessels-Kennedy. I think we should definately compare some notes. I don\'t have much on dates, but I have a whole lot of names. Very anxious to hear from you. Thank you!! Lisa

Hello, I am very excited to come across your site. I have been searching for my ancestors for over a year trying to find information on Daniel Russell/Deborah Macy and his family. Just by chance doing a search I came across your site. I am not sure how the Woodbridge family and the Russells are connected but am so grateful that you have your information on the web. Thank you again for all that you have done. Patricia

Dear Mr. Woodbridge, I believe I have found an error in your Woodbridge Family Tree web site. In listing the descendants of Joseph H. Paist and Anna Serena Wenzell, you show Robert Paist and Constantia Paist as their children. Notes for their photographs indicate that this was a guess on the basis of their pictures being included with other family photos. However, note that Joseph and Serena were married in 1865, and the photo of Constantia as a young woman is dated February 1866. Robert Paist was actually a brother of Joseph Paist, and Constantia was his wife. The photo of her was apparently taken the year before they married. Robert and Joseph were both sons of Jolly Paste and his wife Rachel. The following information is from the notes in my database. My husband, Robert Steeble, is descended from the Paist family, and I have accumulated a large file of information on the Paist/Paiste/Paste/Past family. I have not yet posted it on the web. Most of the following information is from censuses and the city directory. I also included some information on Henry M. Paist. Robert Morris Paist b. 11/19/1847, m. 1867 to Constantia Jones in Chester. In the 1880 Census, Robert M. Paist is age 34, living on Richmond St., Philadelphia, with wife Constantia L., age 33, daughter Lelia K., age 11, and son Irwin M., age 4. In the 1890 Philadelphia City Directory, Robert Morris Paist sells dry goods at 410 E. Girard and lives at 328 Richmond. In the 1900 Census, he is age 52 (b. 11/1847), living at 328 Richmond St. with wife Constantia, age 51 (b. 11/1848), daughter Lelia K., age 30 (b. 2/1870), son Irvin M., age 24 (b. 10/1875), and daughter Anna E., age 13 (b. 12/1896 [1886?]). In 1910 Census, “R.M. Paist,” age 62, is living in Philadelphia with his wife Constantia, age 60, daughter Lelia, age 38, son Irvin, age 33, and daughter Anna, age 22. Constantia L. Jones b. 11/1848. Henry M. Paist “Harry” m. Edith Sharp. In the 1910 PA Census Miracode Index, “Henry M. Paist,” age 35 (b. ~1875), b. in PA, and “Edith Paist,” age 35, b. in Texas, are boarders with Jno. D. Powell in Philadelphia. Paist & Noe, Inc., an insurance co. in Richboro, PA, was founded by Henry M. Paist and A. Joseph Noe in 1936. Note: I believe the notes on Henry M. Paist all refer to the same person, but I am not certain of this. By the way, I loved seeing the photos of the Paist family on your web site. I especially enjoyed the distinctive, stern photos of Serena, whose expression is reflected in the photos of her son Henry (Harry), even as a baby! Susan Steeble
Susan,
Thank you for the corrections and valuable feedback. I believe I have made the corrections as you have suggested.
-Steve

Hi Stephen, we live in a home in Kingsville, Ontario, that was built in 1904 by Rueben and Frances Wright. Their daughter, Rosie was married here on Sept 6, 1905 to Dr. Charles Woodbridge, a physician and surgeon from Saline Michigan. They moved to Saline following their marriage and I don\'t know anything more about them. We have their wedding picture taken on the front porch of the house which is now operated as a Bed & Breakfast. We would love to find out more about Rosie and Charles. Do you know anything? Thanks

I\'m researching David Stodder (1749-1806) who built the U.S. Frigate \"Constellation\" launched in Baltimore in 1797. The Constellation later defeated the French frigate \"L\'Insurgente\" in 1799 during the Quasi-War with France. David Stodder was an interesting character. His sister, Sarah Stodder (1746-1817) is one of your ancestors. An interesting connection--what do you think?

I live in England and I find my wife shares a common ancestor in Gov. William Brenton of Rhode Island died 1674 I was interested in the appearance of the Christian name jahleel as in Jahleel Woodbridge 1738- 1796. The name Jahleel continued down in my wife\'s family to the 20th C and was much favoured by the Brentons. I believe it is of Biblical origin. William Brenton seems to have been born in Hammersmith which in the 17C was a small village near London. It is now a borough in London. Not a lot is known about his ancestors but he seems to have arrived in Boston Mass about 1632 as a collector of customs for the British Crown.

A comment on the lineage of Caleb Pusey (1651 - 1726) He was married to Anne Stone Worley. At the time of their arrival in Pennsylvania (October 1682) Anne was pregnant. During the winter of 1682/83, she gave birth to a daughter (Anne), and sometime early in 1683 this child died. Later, they had another daughter who was also named Anne. This Caleb Pusey had no sons.

The obit appeared in the NY Times on 11/29/1890, p.4. I would like to contact any family members that might have any information about his business. I woudl also like very much to have any pictures of him or his business. I am happy to share the little I know about him. Joy Santlofer 212-695-8681

your data on wenzell is unbelievable.... pictures ect. My family is related to the wenzell/durrin... specifically florence durrin/alfred s. miller.. My father has a bell that... as the story goes... was made by thomas durrin after he repaired the liberty bell... there are said to be six others... we are trying now to authenticate and validate who actually repaired the liberty bell... thomas durrin is note currently associated with doing that work... any more history you may have would be great... Thanks

I\'m going to try and make this as short and uncomplicated as possible. I am related to Elizabeth Tuttle. She is the sister of one of my direct descendants. I BELIEVE that Elizabeth Tuttle was the great-great grandmother of Aaron Burr Jr., Vice-Pres under Thomas Jefferson & killer of Alexander Hamilton. I started researching this today and found a little genealogy of Aaron Burr Jr. It goes like this: Aaron Burr Jr. was the son of Aaron Burr Sr. and Esther Edwards. Esther Edwards\' father was Jonathan Edwards. Jonathan Edwards was the son of Timothy Edwards. That was as far as I could go on the internet until I found your web-site. Now I have found, with your info, that Timothy Edwards was the son of Richard Edwards and my Elizabeth Tuttle. On the internet earlier today I found that \"the mother of Aaron Burr was Esther Edwards\" and \"Esther Edwards was the daughter of Jonathan Edwards and Sarah Pierrepont\". On your web-site you have a Lucy Edwards, daughter of Jonathan Edwards and Sarah Pierrepont. So I think that the mother of Aaron Burr Jr., Esther Edwards and Lucy Edwards were sisters. Does this make sense to you? Have you ever heard that before? The only child you have listed for Jonathan and Sarah (Pierrepont) Edwards is Lucy. Is that because she is your direct line or because you didn\'t know of any other children for them? I would really appreciate your input. If I am correct, that would mean that you are also a distant relation to Aaron Burr Jr. 1. Aaron Burr Jr. 2. Esther Edwards & Aaron Burr Sr. 3. Jonathan Edwards & Sarah Pierrepont 4. Timothy Edwards & Esther Stoddard 5. Elizabeth Tuttle & John Edwards Hope to hear from you soon. Thanks so much for your great site.

My Great-Grandfather\'s 2nd marriage was to Lulu Lefferts, daughter of Oscar Lefferts and Louise Hubbard. She was first married to William Tatem on 20 Nov 1907 in Manhattan. He brought her out to Helena, Montana where his family was involved with mining. I have Lulu\'s birth certificate and marriage certificate. On her birth certificate (born 27 Oct 1878), it says there were three previous children and two were living. A perplexing issue--the 1880 Census lists Lulu as a boarder of an unrelated? family at one year old. I have no idea where her parents and other siblings were. I\'m assuming (and have done no research so far) that her parents died when she was quite young. The following is the full 1880 Census entry: 1880, Census Place:5th Ward, District 2, Elizabeth, Union, New Jersey, Source: FHL Film 1254800 National Archives Film T9-0800 Page 246A Relation Sex Marr Race Age Birthplace Martha TICHENOR Self F W W 38 NJ Occ: Keeping House Fa: NJ Mo: NJ Harry TICHENOR Son M S W 19 NJ Occ: Works In Singers Fa: NJ Mo: NJ Lizzie TICHENOR Dau F S W 17 NJ Occ: At Home Fa: NJ Mo: NJ Estella TICHENOR Dau F S W 11 NJ Occ: At School Fa: NJ Mo: NJ Lulu LEFFERTS Other F S W 1 NJ Occ: Boarder Fa: NY Mo: NY Lulu and William Tatem were great family friends for many years in Helena. They had no children. My G-Grandfather, William Miles, married Lulu after both spouses had died. I have several small heirlooms from Lulu and have always been entrigued by \"Lulu of the light blue hair\". Our family stories say that she came from a wealthy background, that she had sisters, but had very little other information until I received the birth/marriage certificates. Do you have any info to fill in the gaps? I hope this helps. Sincerely, Jennifer Johnson

December 26, 2002 To whom it may concern- For Christmas I was given some information on the Worth family. I have been reading letters written in 1891 that dates the Worth family back to the 1600\'s. Through the internet I have been led to this site and I am hoping to connect with anyone who may be able to shed some light on my family heritage. Briefly, my father is the first son of Weldon Eugene Worth, the only son to charles Eugene Worth, the only son to Charles Fowler Worth, who was the only adult son (another son died at age 3) to Samual Mitchell Worth, son of John Worth. This connection to John Worth is what led me to your website on the Woodbridge Family tree. Please let me know if there is anyone with information pertaining to these family lines! Many Thanks! Many sources that I\'ve seen say that Sir John only had one child, Richard Hawkins. Can you please tell me your source(s) of information on Elizabeth? Gratefully for any help you can give - Mignon Cameron

I have been researching a Benjamin Blake, a boy who was taken aboard a pirate ship in 1689, from Boston and have long wondered if he was really a brother of the Newcomb Blague. You have a Benjamin Blague b. Mar 13, 1672/73 listed. That would make him the right age for the boy on the pirate ship. I would love to know where you found that birth date for him and found him as the son of Philip. Was it a church record? If so, which one? You really can\'t know how much I would appreciate any information you have on Benjamin Blague.

Hi steve I have been wandering around the copious family website for the first time in several years and have a few corrections & additions. 1-The 2 pictures of my parents Roy & Katharine McF. Gerken are of them leaving for their honeymoon April 5,1930. 2 - Picture 0330 identified as Virginia Kinsey Mcf & her daughters is of Susan Grim Mcf & her Mcf granddaughters. It is the same as picture 0353 which is correctly identified. 3 - Please spell my mother\'s name correctly it is Katharine with an A not Katherine with an e. You have spelled it both ways under her pictures. 4 - Please spell Laplante with a small P not a capitol one. ADDITIONS 5 - Frederick Adelard Laplante was b. 12/4/1901 in Montpelier, Vt. d. 10/1993 Manchester,NH. buried Mt.. Calvary cem, Manchester,NH 6 - Florida Turgeon Laplante b. Salem,Ma 2/9/1906. d. Hi Steve Me again. I figured out how to download pictures. Thanks. In the unidentified photos, photo 0354 is Susan Grim McFarland. I have the jewlery she is wearing. I also have the acron earrings she is wearing in another photo on her page. I think photo 0902 is Nana McFarland (Virginia Kinsey McFarland) It looks as though she is wearing one of the many dresses she knitted. I think I have seen this photo identified somewhere, sometime. On Virginia Kinsey McFarland\'s photo page the picture of Susan Grim McFarland, with Helen & Katharine McF is again incorrectly identified as Virginia McF.

I am looking for a decent picture of Aunt Alice Kinsey Eberbach or Alice and Nelson Eberbach. preferably taken in the 1920\'s? Does no one have one? Do we know how to reach either of Marion\'s daughters to see if they have a picture? On Alice\'s page you have photo 10890 identified as Alice Louise Kinsey. However your information says that she was born in 1872 and the young woman in the picture seems to be wearing a dress with the style and especially the sleeves dating to the late 1860\'s or early 1870\'s. Don\'t take this as a definitive historical statement but I do think it leaves the identification as Alice questionable.

I am also researching the Close family with my cousins. We have: Goodman Close & Elizabeth Thomas Close & Sarah Hardy Benjamin Close & Eunice Husted Samuel Close & Deborah Mead The Close & Mead family inter-married quite a bit in this period. I don\'t have any siblings for Samuel Close but the timeframe points to him being a brother of your Benjamin.

I will keep you posted. Did you ever find a copy of Dear Ghosts?

Stephen Elliot Woodbridge, Your entry on the Woodbridge Family Tree lists Daniel Russell b. 1680 in Nantucket, father Daniel Russell, b. 1642 Charlestown, mother Margaret Springer. There exists a birth record for Daniel son of Daniel R. and Margaret S. in 1679 as born in New London, and there have been conjectures that he is the Daniel Russell who came to Nantucket, but scholars I spoke to at NEHGS were very skeptical of the identification. Do you have evidence of it? I\'d appreciate knowing. Charles Hollander

Re: early Cowperthwaites see book \"Cowperthwaites 7 Genrations from Hugh b. 1648\" by Woodbridge: John Cowptherwait [Parents: Hugh Cowperthwaite b. 1648 and Elizabeth, ] was born in 1670 in Nottingham, England. He died in Dec 1732 in Chester Twp., Burlington Co., New Jersey. He married SARAH ADAMS on 29 Nov 1690 in Flushing, Queens Co., New York. John joined religion in Quaker, Haddonfield Mm. He was employed as about 1700 in Shoemaker, farmer. He was employed as in 1732 in Yeoman. He signed a will on 4 Dec 1732. NOTES FROM BOOK \"COWPERTHWAITE\" BY WOODRIDGE: He came from Nottinghamshire, England. m. Jan. 1690 (Flushing, L.I.) Sara Adams, b. 2 mo. (April) 24, 1668, the third child of John and Elizabeth Adams of Flushing, L. I. About 1700 John (2) moved to Chester township, Burlington Co. N. J. Here, although a shoemaker by training, he also engaged in farming. He and his wife became members of Haddonfield Monthly Meeting of the Society of Friends. John (2) died in December of 1732. Named in will of Hugh2 Cowperthwaite, d 1730. Sarah Adams [Parents] was born on 24 Apr 1668 in Flushing, Queens Co., New York. She died UNKNOWN in New Jersey. She married John Cowptherwait on 29 Nov 1690 in Flushing, Queens Co., New York. WFT Vol 22 #2771 gives Sarah\'s father as John Adams, not James. They had the following children: F i Elizabeth Cowperthwaite F ii Hannah Cowperthwaite was born about 1694. She died UNKNOWN. F iii Deborah Cowperthwaite was born about 1696. She died UNKNOWN. M iv Hugh Cowptherwait was born about 1702 in Chester Twp., Burlington Co., New Jersey. He died about 1755 in New Egypt, Upper Freehold, Monmouth Co., New Jersey. Hugh was employed as in Carpenter. He signed a will in 1755 in Died intestate.. He joined religion in Quaker. From WFT Vol 2 #1263 NOTES FROM BOOK \"COWPERTHWAITE\" BY WOODRIDGE: Hugh(3) married Keziah Atkinson 8/15/1717, he married Hannah, daughter of John and Hannah (Shinn) Atkinson on april 19, 1737, she had been born June 7 1719. {Hannah Shinn d/o John Shinn and Jane?, Eng.} Hugh (3) probably spent most of his early life on Long Island. After his father moved to New Jersey, he apparently remained there, living with his uncle. It appears that several of his sisters also remained on Long Island until they married. After his uncle\'s death, in 1730, the Flushing Meeting gave him 5 mo. (July 5, 1730 a Certificate of Clearance which he took with him to his parents in Burlington, N. j. His first marriage to Keziah Atkinson in 1734 did not follow Quaker custom and he must have been disowned by them at that time. His second marriage to Hannah Atkinson was by license. It is possible that Keziah was an older sister of Hannah, since Hannah\'s brother Samuel later named one of his children Keziah. However, there were several other Atkinson families living in Burlington at that time to which Keziah may have belonged. In 1749 Hugh (3) bought land on the west side of Crosswicks Creek, a few miles west of New Egypt in Upper Freehold, Monmouth Co., where he moved with his family. He died there between 1755 and 1758, intestate. M v Thomas Cowperthwaite was born about 1703 in Chester, Burlington Co., New Jersey. He died in 1781. He signed a will on 8 Feb 1781. M vi John Cowperthwaite was born about 1706. He died on 19 Feb 1775 in Chester Twp., Burlington Co., New Jersey. F vii Bathsheba Cowperthwaite was born about 1707. She died UNKNOWN. Dear Steve, I see the corrections from the Scott side of the family. We still don\'t know Mary Scott\'s maiden name. Mason was a second marriage. Ann Scott Wenzell was the eldest of 8 children, the 8th simply had a different last name:David Mason!

Dear Steve, I noticed that you have my great-great grandmother Alice Latham\'s birthday incorrect. She was born on September 1, 1844 and died on January 3, 1929. She married John Wenzell(1840-1923) on Novemeber 24, 1864 in Philadelphia, PA. Her father was William Latham(1819-1886), and her mother was Maria Adamson(1822-1885). John

Is your family descended from Lord Hastings who was supposedly murdered because of his claim to the throne during the time of Edward the Fourth. As brought to our attention by the recent BBC series on the monarchy?

I am a descendant of Thomas Wood, the son of William Wood. I have a record of many names that could be added to this list. Do you have any information about Ottiwell Wood? What is the nature of this website? Dave Smith

In reference to John Kinsey (1752-7/19/1824) and his wife Margaret Kitchen (1754-1/16/1829), source for their vital statistics is sited as the John Kinsey (their son) Bible, but I don\'t understand where that Bible is. Can you tell me? I am very interested in having a copy of the family info recorded there. Also, what is the \"Dear Ghosts\", p.111-112 sited as the source for notes about John Kinsey (1752-7/19/1824)? My interest is in the Kitchen family. My own research points to Margaret Kitchen Kinsey as the grand aunt of my ancestor Margaret Kitchen (1800-1860, and not included in the Woodbridge Family Tree). This latter Margaret Kitchen may have been the daughter of Thomas Kitchen, a brother of Margaret Kitchen Kinsey, but that is just my conjecture at this time. Thank you in advance for a reply. Pamela Lavery

Steve, I am trying to go through the zillions of letters that your Mom gave me. I have typed up 1887-1889 of Lester Woodbridge to Edith Foster. They are also scanned. I am sorting through another batch written to Edith from her mother - Mother G. They are all about Mabel. Who is Mabel and who is Mother G.? I don\'t find them easily in the genealogy. Any help appreciated. Phyllis

Hi Stephen, I discovered your site in a Google search for Lucy Edwards Woodbridge, daughter of Jonathan Edwards, whose funeral sermons I\'m researching for an MDiv thesis. Great site! Genealogy is an interest, but not yet a hobby of mine. Do you have any plans to release a PHP/MYSQL version of the code that powers your site? Kind regards, Joe Harrod Louisville, KY

Hi everyone. This is my first time really looking around the web site. I did not know that there was so much history on the family here. It\'s GREAT! It has been really nice to read the past few news letters and see what I\'ve missed. Along with that it has been a help with my soon to be wife Amy. I start talking about the family / farm and now I can show her. I have to say that the site was very well thought out. Thanks for the great job!
